Last year, Arts Education Policy Review, a peer-reviewed journal approved a special issue titled, “Responding to Crisis: Disruption and Innovation in Community-Based Arts Education Programs for Youth” to be co-edited by Jeff M. Poulin and Dennie Palmer Wolf. This special issue has now been released. Taylor & Francis have made all five articles free to access from Tuesday, February 16th through Friday, April 30th, 2021.

Read MoreIn August 2020, Jeff M. Poulin was appointed as an Adjunct Professorial Lecturer within the Arts Management program at American University located in Washington, D.C. The course he is teaching is titled “Arts Education” and is offered to Master’s of Arts Management students. In this course, students will explore the underpinning philosophical frameworks utilized to understand and influence the policy, pedagogy, and practice of contemporary arts education. The course will interrogate the field’s scholarship, history, and research, leading students to decolonize, de-Westernize, and re-center a globalized perspective focusing on anti-racist and liberatory approaches to arts and cultural education.
